DPF / OPF OFF

Software disabling of the diesel / gasoline particulate filter: regeneration, pressure and temperature sensors, dashboard warnings.

A particulate filter (DPF on diesels, OPF/GPF on petrol engines) traps soot particles from the exhaust gas. It is a ceramic honeycomb in a steel housing, fitted right after the turbocharger or under the floor, with connections for the differential pressure sensor and exhaust temperature sensors.

Typical DPF problems

  1. Sensor faults — failed differential pressure or temperature sensors, a blocked pressure pipe;
  2. End of service life — the filter is clogged with non-combustible ash (usually after 150–250 thousand km) and regeneration no longer helps;
  3. Excessive soot — short trips, interrupted regenerations, or engine problems with high oil consumption.

The ECU then requests forced regenerations, raises fuel consumption, shows "DPF full / see dealer" messages and eventually limits engine power.

Diesel particulate filter removal

Software solution

We disable regeneration, soot load calculation, the differential pressure and related temperature sensor diagnostics and the dashboard warnings. The engine runs normally with the filter physically removed. Many cars also need EGR OFF at the same time — tick both options if required.
