Swirl flaps OFF
Software disabling of intake swirl flaps (P2004–P2015) — prevents engine damage from broken flaps.
Swirl flaps (swirl valves) are installed in the intake manifold of many Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Skoda, Volkswagen, Volvo and other engines. At low rpm the closed flaps create a swirl in the combustion chamber for better mixing of air and fuel.
Why swirl flaps are removed
The mechanism wears out: plastic bushings, shafts and actuator gears break, linkages fail and the actuator jams. In the worst case a flap or its screw detaches and is drawn into the cylinder, damaging the piston, valves and cylinder head. A replacement manifold is expensive, so many owners remove the flaps and disable the system in software.

The most common codes are in the P2004–P2015 range; some brands use manufacturer-specific codes. Our file disables the actuator control and its diagnostics.
