ECU cloning files
Preparation of clone files to transfer all data from a damaged ECU to a used or new replacement unit.
ECU cloning allows a damaged engine control unit to be replaced with an identical used or new unit. ECUs are most often damaged by water ingress (an aged factory sealant lets moisture onto the PCB), accidents or electrical faults. Repairing the PCB is not always possible, so a replacement unit is usually cheaper and more reliable.
After cloning, the replacement unit contains all data of the original one — software, calibration, immobilizer data and adaptations — and the car can be used straight away without coding or key learning.
What we need
- A full read (flash + EEPROM / data flash) of the original ECU;
- A full read of the replacement ECU;
- Hardware and software numbers of both units.
We return a ready-to-write file set for the replacement ECU. In most cases reading and writing is possible without opening the ECU housing.
Upload your original file and tick the option. Available with or without tuning.
